‘JEONJU Lab’ is a film development mentoring program to discover and foster diverse and original Korean film projects. The program selects projects with creative ideas and unique perspectives, supports script development, and enhances the quality of the completion, so as to guide projects to the production stage.

‘JEONJU Lab’, a feature film section of the program, selects distinctive feature film projects regardless of genre, and funds KRW 5 million in initial development along with an extensive professional mentoring program. Based on evaluation of the completed screenplays, the selected projects receive additional development funding or and in-kind support. The final project selected by ‘JEONJU Lab’ will be eligible for JEONJU Cast Award, which includes KRW 10 million prize money and casting option.

‘JEONJU Lab: Short’, a short film section of the program, aims to foster the local film industry and nurture emerging talent within Jeonbuk State. Selected projects receive KRW 5 million in production funding, in-kind production support, and professional production mentoring. Additional production funding may be awarded following further evaluation, and completed films will have their world premiere at the JEONJU IFF, in the following year.
