‘JEONJU Project’ is a flagship industry program operated by JEONJU International Film Festival since 2009, designed to enhance the connection with the film industry and expand its role beyond a film festival. From 2009 to 2020, the program was called ‘JEONJU Project Market’ supporting the production of unique Korean and international feature films and documentaries. In 2021, it was rebranded as ‘JEONJU Project’ further to solidify its expertise and distinct identity, establishing itself as a specialized industry program.

JEONJU Project has built a comprehensive support system that spans the entire filmmaking process from planning and development through production, post-production, completion, and distribution, operating structured programs tailored to the specific needs of each stage. It also serves as an expanding industry platform by fostering exchange and collaboration between selected projects and domestic and international film professionals, so that the selected projects can translate into tangible production and distribution outcomes.

The 18th JEONJU Project held in 2026 identifies creative and competitive film projects from Korea and abroad through a range of programs including ‘JEONJU Lab’ and ‘Work-in-Progress’, It supports practical support across the full filmmaking process from planning and development to production and distribution. In addition, the project runs one on one business meeting programs and various networking programs connecting project teams and worldwide industry professionals, enabling participants to build collaborative foundations and explore substantial opportunities for film development, investment, production, and distribution.

The main events of the 18th JEONJU Project will take place over three days, from May 3 (Sun) to May 5 (Tue), 2026, during the 27th JEONJU IFF.
