JEONJU Cinema Project has supported independent filmmakers domestically and internationally since 2014.
JEONJU Cinema Project is a feature film production and financing program. JEONJU Cinema Project is not only the signature program of JEONJU International Film Festival, but also an extension of the festival’s spirit and an alternative filmmaking experiment. JEONJU Cinema Project invests approximately 100 million KRW to a feature film production and is also in charge of the production and distribution of the films.
JEONJU Cinema Project films have received important awards at several international film festivals and many have been released in Korean theaters. In 2021, Three Sisters by LEE Seungwon, Winter's Night by JANG Woojin, Shades of the Heart by KIM Jong-kwan and others garnered many interests from audience.
JEONJU IFF, through JEONJU Cinema Project, will provide a full range of support to film production and distribution of independent, art, and experimental films beyond its role of platform for them.
