Work-in-Progress
‘Work-in-Progress’ (WIP) is a post-production support program designed to enhance the final quality of Korean independent and art feature films at their final stage of production, facilitating domestic and international distribution.
During the JEONJU Project period, selected WIP projects are presented in private screenings for domestic and international industry professionals, including programmers from renowned international film festivals. The program also provides expert advice to improve completion quality and worldwide distribution. Lastly, the final project selected through evaluation will receive KRW 5 million distribution grant.
The WIP has successfully generated tangible outcomes, supporting projects through the enhancement of production quality, film festival premieres, and distribution. The 2023 WIP selection My Missing Aunt, (directed by YANG Jueon) was selected for the Korean Competition section at the 2024 JEONJU IFF, then subsequently released at the cinema in the second half of 2025. Among the 2025 selections, 77 Minutes (directed by JUNG Harin) was invited to the Korean Cinema section of the 27th JEONJU IFF, while Beyond Now, Nyein (directed by LIM Daecheong) received both the Special Jury Prize (Art Award) and the FIPRESCI Award at the 2025 DMZ International Documentary Film Festival.
