K-DOC CLASS

K-DOC CLASS is the film editing training program for Korean documentaries. Its goal is to present decent quality Korean documentaries through systemized procedures for documentary making and through film by film tailored training. Here we present a new model of editing training in collaboration with the SJM Cultural Foundation, the only documentary expert group in Korea, and the EBS International Documentary Festival by supporting projects at the rough cut stage to become the ones at the final cut.

K-DOC CLASS Editorial Seminar
The Invisible Hands: How to work with international editors
Film production is generally considered to be led by directors. However, if editorial directors join in the documentary production from planning to shooting and editing, what synergy can be created? There would be an expectation to get a new perspective, but it also does raise certain fears about communication or its result. In this seminar, we will talk about editorial compositions and ways to work together with the director who participated in the FirstCut program (JEONJU IFF’s editorial consulting program) as well as editors from home and abroad.
