Intruders invade Dae-bok's house where he was enjoying a single life in the twilight of his life, and a stressful cohabitation with them under the name of ‘family’ begins.

SYNOPSIS

After losing his wife 10 years ago, Dae-bok, who lives a single life in the twilight of his life, is seriously considering remarrying Mi-sook, But the happiness is short-lived. Without any warning, his daughter Dae-hee comes into Dae-bok’s house, bringing her newborn grandson Geon-woo and son-in-law Chang-mu. Dae-hee’s family has taken over Dae-bok’s house with no intention of leaving. Dae-bok’s house becomes a crucible of chaos as his youngest son, Dae-seong, who lost his house deposit through stock investments, also comes crawling in, and his friends who play a theatre with him are dragged home one by one. In this way, Dae-bok’s sweet single life falls apart overnight. To make matters worse, Dae-bok’s patience explodes when Mi-sook announces a breakup to him... Will Dae-bok be able to regain his sweet single life?

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

In his 60s, Dae-bok is enjoying the single life in his twilight more than anyone else. Until now, Dae-bok has lived with the burden of being the head of the family, and after the death of his wife, his children also became independent. It seemed like he had finally thrown off his heavy burden and found his own life, but his children still invaded Dae-bok's life.
Daughter Dae-hee and son Dae-seong became independent to escape their father's nagging, but they act like they're entitled to get a parent's help when they need one. In that sense, I felt that a family, which is the most intimate, is also the most intrusive, invading the deepest parts of our lives. Through these contradictions, I would like to take time for reflection and understanding.

INTERVIEW
What inspired you to start this project?
As human beings, we have a duty to do. I get angry When I see people deviating from this common sense. However, the end of that anger is always self-reflection and regret, because I always learn a lesson from them. As I get older, I sometimes realize something. All the everyday things naturally by my side at every moment or seem to be there forever seem precious. Unfortunately, the biggest problem in my life is that these epiphanies don’t come often enough. This film is a record of those rare moments of wisdom to be watched and recalled from time to time.
Is there any emotion you want the audience to feel after watching this film?
I hope this film will be an effective tourniquet for a bleeding finger pricked by a thorn without knowing.
