SYNOPSIS

Xian, a Chinese student in Seoul, returns with his girlfriend Xuebi. After visa issues at immigration, he struggles alone to prove his stay. Tensions rise at home, and a friend, Seungwoo, offers him another option. Choosing responsibility, Xian enrolls Xuebi in a language school, and their relationship enters a new phase.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

The film depicts the love, responsibility, and struggles of a young foreigner in Korea. It explores the delicate dynamics between a boyfriend at home and a woman supporting their livelihood, capturing reversed roles and real emotions, while reflecting on a generation shaped by borders and bureaucracy. It also uses personal romance to evoke empathy in a society where multicultural relationships and migration are increasingly common.
