Bona, a rebellious girl aspiring to sing, heeds her shaman grandmother after encountering an old singer’s ghost.

SYNOPSIS

Bona, a rebellious soul who cannot exist without singing, harbors a secret dream: to become a singer. She keeps this aspiration hidden from her shaman grandmother, Geumhwa. However, Bona’s life takes an unexpected turn when the ghost of an old singer named Gabyeol appears.
Determined to achieve her dream, Bona plans to learn music from Gabyeol, hoping to become a successful singer and earn Geumhwa’s approval. But as Gabyeol begins to reveal her demonic qualities, Bona is forced to reconsider her grandmother’s wisdom.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

We often listen to the lyrics of a song by an unknown artist over and over again, yet let the affectionate words of someone close to us go in one ear and out the other. I wish to hear it all once more.

INTERVIEW
What inspired you to start this project?
This story begins with a simple love: the desire to hear the voices of those who have left this world again. Whether it is the voice of a respected musician or that of family or friends, the sounds they left behind come back to life vividly, even if we can’t understand their meaning. Now, I want to cherish and solve the precious mysteries of the voices of those we can no longer ask about for as long as memory allows.
Is there any emotion you want the audience to feel after watching this film?
May every soul revel to its heart's content.
