I set out to find my real father. Instead, I discover emotional wound from my family's past.

SYNOPSIS

One day I. a director of this film, found the secret of my family which was veiled. The secret is that my father is not a real father of mine. My brother let me know the truth and told me to find the real father, declaring a renouncement. I went my way to find my father with simple curiosity. But what I found was not the real father but the past of mother and father who raised me, family which they made and my past which was hurt from in. Out of all conscience, what is the meaning of the family to all of us? The trip to find my real father turns into the trip to cure myself.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

This film starts from questioning "what kind of family did my parents want?" To answer this question I trace back the early life of my parents, how they met and how they got married. In the middle of that moment, I consider the family which they wanted to make and keep. This journey is not only about my personal family history but also valuable case study about transition in meaning of modern and contemporary Korean family which is changing in rapid modernization and industrialization.
