LOGLINE

A hyper-realism twisted comedy drama of reconciliation. Daebok, small business owners in crisis, and Hongmin, a young man in crisis, join forces to collect receivables for their clients!

SYNOPSIS

Daebok is a crisis small business owner with overdue alimony and utility bills. During the recession, only credit loans increase. Still, there is no income, and the unemployed son Hongmin is no help. One day, Wonchang, overdue for credit, threatens Daebok.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

DEBT is a story about the relationship between creditors and debtors. Everyone can become a creditor or a debtor once in their life. Some have huge debts that they can't pay back for the rest of their lives. I believe the biggest debt among them is to parents. It is a debt that can never be paid. Instead of presenting the relatable story between parents and children in a one-dimensional way, we tell the story by substituting the relationship between Daebok and Wonchang, Wonchang and Yoseop, and Hongmin and his sister.
