May 2008. 15-year-old Seonwoo cannot figure out what she likes. As she meets the practice teacher Song-ee, Seonwoo begins to learn what she likes.

SYNOPSIS

Seonwoo is a 15 years old girl with her hair cut short and only wears pants. She is too timid to explain clearly what style she wants even to a hairdresser.
Unlike her responsible and capable mother, Seonwoo is upset with her father, who stays at home after he failed in his business again and again. Then Chaewon, once Seonwoo thought special, has a boyfriend, and her feelings are unclear. Her daily life, as frustrated as she did not know what it felt to like someone, begins to change.
One day in early May, she meets Song-ee (female, 23), a free and outspoken practice teacher, and shares new experiences, the feeling for Song-ee becomes growing without knowing herself.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

The process of self-identification begins in adolescence. During this period, most of the time is spent at school. Within the place pursuing universality, being different from the majority encourages you to deny yourself. In particular, the hatred and violence experienced within a place like school often make you hide yourself and turn away.
Through the character, Song-ee, I wanted to present a gift of positive experience about oneself and school to Seonwoo.
Seonwoo, who felt a slightly different first love than others, is just another kid that is hesitant, timid, and shy. By showing how she grows, which is slow but solid, I would like to tell that her way can be more truthful, stronger, and more beautiful.
