Sunwoo, who killed the father of the girl she had a crush on while playing

SYNOPSIS

Sunwoo lives in a town overflowing with trash due to an environmental workers' strike. Playing a road kill game with her friend Myung-ho, she makes Hee-sun's father, whom she had a crush on, die. After that, Hee-sun relies on Sun-woo, and the police conduct student interviews to gather information. Meanwhile, garbage accumulates in Sun-woo and Myung-ho's hideout, 'ghost apartment,' due to unauthorized dumping by residents. Sunwoo decides to turn herself in, but the next day, Myung-ho goes missing, leaving a suicide note. Searching for Myung-ho, Sunwoo heads to the Ghost Apartment.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

This story is about 'things that are neglected'.
The guilt and fear Sunwoo faces are not just individual problems, but structural problems created by a neglected society. "Trash" symbolizes the indifference of adults and the heavy reality that children bear. It is also with that intention that queer youth, family care children, and children affected by domestic violence appeared. I wanted to capture how we grow and collapse in a problem that became too big for individuals to handle.
